Nathan W. Dougherty Award
The Dougherty Award was established by the college in 1957 to pay tribute to Dr. Nathan Washington Dougherty, dean of the Tickle College of Engineering from 1940-1956. The award honors engineers whose accomplishments have brought acclaim to the university.

Outstanding Support Staff Award
The Outstanding Support Staff Award is awarded to a support staff employee who demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude, initiative, and the willingness to go the extra mile in his or her job responsibilities.
The Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award is presented to a faculty member who performs quality advising through availability and a clear commitment to advising. This award was established in 1989 with a private gift.
The Moses E. and Mayme Brooks Distinguished Professor Award is awarded to a professor who demonstrates effectiveness in teaching and gains distinction in engineering practice. The endowment that funds this award was established in 1972.
The Leon and Nancy Cole Superior Teaching Award is given to a full-time faculty member who demonstrates outstanding teaching skills, clear communication, depth of subject knowledge, and the ability to motivate through effective advising and counseling. The award, established in 1980, recognizes quality teaching at the college.
The Charles Edward Ferris Faculty Award is given to a faculty member who has a distinguished record of research and teaching in the area of technology advancement and is involved in the community. The award was established by the Knoxville Technical Society to honor Dr. Ferris for his fifty years at UT.
The TCE Translational Research Award is presented to recognize a faculty member whose research has achieved societal benefit through the development of intellectual property via licensing. The award was established in 2013.
The TCE Teaching Fellow Awards are presented to faculty members who possess an exceptional record of graduate and undergraduate teaching and a strong performance in teaching-related service activities and whose efforts clearly contribute to the overall mission of the college. The awards were established to reward superior teaching.
The TCE Research Fellow Award are presented to faculty members with an exceptional record of research activity, whose efforts clearly contribute to the overall mission of the college. The awards were established to recognize and reward superior research.
