Scholarship Information

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville offers a comprehensive program of financial aid, including merit scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs. The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering offers scholarships, based on scholastic merit, to qualified undergraduate students. Interested students should apply directly to the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. A high school transcript, ACT or SAT scores, and transcripts from any previous college experience must accompany the application.

Highly qualified juniors and seniors at UTK can compete for scholarships offered by national organizations such as the AIChE.

  2. Engineers' Association of Nashville Application Deadline: November 30

Additional aid may be available in the form of part-time employment. Generally, this involves working with a professor and/or graduate student on a specific research project. In addition, the cooperative engineering education program offers many opportunities for students to work in industry and government organizations. In this program, students alternate semesters at the university with industrial experience and complete the degree requirements in five years.
