CE 557 - Transportation Planning and Operations with Micro-Computer

Hands-on laboratory and field experiences in computer and information technology for modeling and analysis of transportation problems. Lecture and lab.

Course Objective

To familiarize students with commonly used traffic engineer software packages and to prepare students for solving problems, which no software packages have been developed for.  In addition, a few sessions will be devoted to web or Internet micro-computer applications, which are not based on canned packages.

Topics

The content of this course changes from year to year due to the short development cycles of software packages, the ever-changing nature of computer software/hardware, and hte availability of certain packages.  The following is only a suggested list of potential tities.  Actural items to be covered will be a subset of the list plus other new titles when possible.
