CE 558 - Planning & Transportation

Catalog Description

 Preparation of transportation as elements of comprehensive development plans. Analysis of relationship between various transportation modes and between transportation and other community features. Use of planning process to establish existing travel patterns, modeling of demand, proposing alternatives and evaluation. (Same as Political Science 555.)

Course Objective

To acquaint the students with the urban transportation planning process.  The course highlights the relationship between land use and transportaiton decisions. A contemporary computer travel demand model will be presented.
