Theory and applied algorithms for three-dimensional climate modeling including conservation laws, prognostic and diagnostic relationships and climate model formulations. Emphasis on numerical methods, coordinate systems, spatial and temporal discretizations, parameterization and model validation.3 credit hours (lecture)
