Introduction to the fundamentals of air pollution, light scattering and visibility reduction, air quality laws and regulations, estimating concentrations from emission factors, theory and design of settling chambers, cyclone separators, wet collectors, fabric filters, electrostatic precipitator and control methods for gaseous air pollutants.3 credit hours (lecture)
