Groundwater Management

Groundwater Management involves the study of the principles of flow in porous and fractured media, including the use analytical tools for decision making regarding groundwater systems. This area of study includes broad topic areas related to hydrologic and hydraulic processes, and focus areas such as groundwater modeling, fate and transport of constituents in groundwater systems, aquifer property testing and well hydraulics. Areas of study in groundwater management are integrally interconnected with program areas of water resources, water quality and interdisciplinary courses in areas such as, in Earth and Planetary Sciences.

Normal minimum courses:
CE 485 Principles of Hydrogeology
CE 490 Water Resources Project Design
ENVR 535 Ground Water Hydrology
