Water Quality (Municipal and Industrial Operations) involves the study of engineered processes to treat drinking water, industrial process water, and wastewaters generated by municipalities and industries. Coursework focuses on developing a fundamental understanding of physicochemical and biological processes, applied either individually or in combination, for the removal of inorganic, organic, and microbiological pollutants of natural and anthropogenic origins.
