Current and Recent Research

The faculty in the Geotechnology and Infrastructure Materials specialty area at UTK are active in a broad range of research areas, including geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geo-environmental engineering, infrastructure materials Engineering, and pavement geotechnics. Most of the research in the area of Geotechnology and Infrastructure Materials is conducted through the Institute for Geotechnology.

Current and recent funded research projects reflect the broad range of research interests held by the faculty and students in this specialty area. Graduate programs of study in Geotechnology and Infrastructure Materials parallel and support this research.
