Research Areas
The Department conducts approximately $5 million of externally funded research per year covering a wide range of topics in the specialty areas shown below. Most of the research is interdisciplinary in nature through one of several research centers on campus: Center for Environmental Biotechnology; Energy, Environment and Resources Center; Transportation Center; Waste Management Center; or Water Resources Center.
