UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Consistent with the mission of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The University of Tennessee, graduates of the program will have:

  1. Technical competency to conduct engineering projects and to advance with increasing responsibility.
  2. Professional competency to continually increase engineering proficiency, proceed on a track to attain professional licensure, and contribute to the profession and community.

  2. With the new campus-wide adoption of General Education, General Education electives can no longer be taken S/NC grading as they are required for the degree, see footnote 3 on page 21 of the current catalog. Students following catalog years Fall 2005- forward must take General Ed courses for a letter grade unless S/NC is the only way the course is offered).
  3. CE 435, Foundations, will only be offered in Spring Semester starting in Academic Year 2008-09 2009-2010. CE 435 will not be offered in Fall 2008 2009.
