In accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, UT provides for the confidentiality of student records. However, it also provides for basic identification of persons at UT without the consent of the individual. Release of information to third parties includes directory information such as contained in the campus telephone book and sports brochures. However, you have the right to refuse to permit the University to disclose directory information. If you wish to have all public/directory information excluded as public information, you must notify the Office of Enrollment Data Services, 212 Student Services Building, no later than 4:00 p.m. on the fourteenth calendar day of the term beginning with the first day of classes.
