James T. Pippin Diversity Engineering Scholarship
Selection
The selection of the recipient for the James T. Pippin Diversity Engineering Scholarship will be made by the Office of Engineering Diversity Programs and the Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate African American engineering student making satisfactory progress toward an engineering degree.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be in good standing academically with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
- Must be a member of the UT chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the student organization for their major e.g. IEEE, ASCE, etc.
- Must have shown appropriate participation in student activities with the college and the university.
Selection Criteria
The criteria for selection will be the parameters noted in the eligibility requirements and student need.
The Award
The award will be $1,000.
