EDP Pre-College Programs

Students in the MITE program give a presentation of their projectEDP sponsors summer programs for rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders interested in learning about and pursuing an engineering career.

Introduction of Sophomores to Engineering Principles (INSTEP) is offered to rising 9th and 10th graders. Click here to download the INSTEP brochure.

The High School Introduction to Engineering Systems (HITES) program is offered to rising 11th and 12th graders. Click here to download the HITES brochure.

Each program provides hands-on learning experiences designed to motivate minority students who have the interest and aptitude to consider careers in engineering.

To apply:

Please print and fill out the Pre-College Diversity Programs Application and fax or mail it into the address listed on the application or click here to fill out our online application.

Print two Recommendation Forms and give it to at least one math or science teacher and another faculty member from your school who know you well enough to evaluate your ability and your potential for success as a student. Provide the individuals with a stamped envelope, addressed to:
