Assistant Professor -- Department of Nuclear Engineering

The Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Tennessee (UT), Knoxville is seeking a qualified individual for a Tenure Track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in nuclear engineering or a closely related field. Applicants are expected to have a strong commitment to high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as a desire and plan for generating funded research.
Applicants with specialization in Nuclear Systems Safety, Reliability, Nuclear Fuel Cycles, Multiphysics Modeling, Radiation Detection, Health Physics, Thermal Fluids, or Nuclear System Instrumentation and Control will complement existing departmental research. Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate a high probability for developing a successful research program by complementing existing departmental, college or university strengths in areas of national priority.
