New Student
The undergraduate admission processes are administered by the Office of Admissions and Records. Interesting students should contact this Office for more details.
Transfer Students
Transfer students are evaluated for admission by the department offering the desired degree program. Courses taken, grades, and other evidence of ability to succeed in an engineering curriculum are considered. Transfer is very simple for students transferring from Tennessee's community colleges that have special agreements, called "articulation agreements," with UT. Courses covered by such agreements automatically transfer to UT.
Students returning to school after some years away are especially welcome because of their contribution to classes and projects made possible by their maturity and life experiences. Please contact the Department of Industrial and Information Engineering for details.
