The Computer (PC) Lab is available to students (undergraduate and graduate) and faculty in the Department of Industrial and Information Engineering. Other students and faculty in the College of Engineering also have access when it is not in use by the IE department for classes or special projects. There are 20 PCs, each having 128 MB of RAM and 1G hard drives. The PCs all contain general-purpose software as well as software needed specifically for the Information Systems and Simulation courses. They operate in a Windows 2000 environment and use several packages in the Office 2000 Premium suite of software. Some of the other software, in addition to the internet access tools, are Visual Basic 6.0, Arena 3.0, JMP 4, Lindo, Lingo, and Visio.
