Undergraduate Admissions
The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering. The mission of the department is to provide a broad base integration of courses and experiences that prepare graduates to practice their profession successfully, to apply their skills to solve current engineering problems collaboratively, and to help advance the knowledge and engineering practice in their fields.

Graduate Admissions
Graduate programs leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy are available with majors in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, biomedical engineering, and engineering science. Entrance into the Master of Science program is available to qualified graduates of recognized undergraduate curricula in mechanical or aerospace engineering and to qualified graduates of other curricula who satisfy the necessary prerequisites. A program application is required in addition to the Graduate Application for Admission. Admission into the doctoral program will be granted to those applicants who have demonstrated superior achievement in their engineering backgrounds. In biomedical engineering, entrance into the graduate program is available to graduates of recognized curricula in engineering, mathematics, or one of the physical sciences who satisfy the necessary prerequisites. A program application is required in addition to the Graduate Application for Admission. The names and addresses of three references must be included with the program application. The general GRE is required of all applicants for admission.
