Future MSE Students

Although the UT College of Engineering has been around for over 150 years, we are focused on the future.

With the help of our generous donors, several new buildings are available to our students. The Science Engineering Research Facility (SERF) and the upcoming Joint Institute for Advanced Materials (JIAM) are excellent examples of how our department continues to grow. These new technologically advanced facilities combined with our passionate and dedicated faculty have positioned the college on the verge of national and international prominence.

We already have one of the strongest engineering diversity programs in the nation, and we are continually adding international co-op and internship opportunities. Our special partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory allows our students to learn from and work with internationally renowned researchers, scientists and engineers.

Our goal is to provide more than just a quality engineering education. We believe our students should have an overall experience that will enable them to succeed. This is why we are the FUTURE of engineering education and research.
