Mock Interview/Resume Critique with Engineering Company Representatives –Engineering students can sign-up through the Hire-A-VOL system and schedule a 30-minute resume critique or mock interview with recruiters from area engineering companies. Students must sign-up for an appointment and must bring a copy of their draft resume to the appointments. The representatives will discuss how to improve resume or interview skills and offer individual advice. The appointments will not be for actual job opportunities, but will be general advice sessions to assist students with skills. Open to engineering students looking for internships, co-ops and full-time positions.

10 am — 3 pm Appointments required through HIRE-A-VOL and will be held at UT Career Services – 100 Dunford Hall.

Instructions: Open your HIRE-A-VOL account and do a search using the keyword "Engineer" under the Jobs - Jobs for UT Students/Alumni screens. When the description opens, choose your appointment time on the right and submit. It will require that you have a resume in the system to make the appointment but this does not need to be a "final" resume as it is only used to schedule the appointment. After you have a final resume, go back into HIRE-A-VOL and update with your new resume to start using for job submittal. If you want to do both the resume critique and mock interview, you must sign up for both appointments.

You must bring a copy of your draft resume with you to the appointment. For more information, contact Leslie Fox, UT Career Services Engineering Consultant at lfox6@utk.edu or 865-974-5435.
