If you are looking for a summer job and/or internship (all majors), this is the perfect venue. Keep in mind that internships can be available year-round, not just during the summer.

Log in to Hire-A-Vol for a list of employers attending the fair, types of positions available and desired majors. You can also submit your resume to employers in advance through the RSVP feature.

Diversity Job Fair

The purpose of the Diversity Job Fair is to connect students from different backgrounds with employers who are committed to diversifying their workforce. The event is designed for students from a variety of populations, such as students with disabilities, the LGBT community and individuals from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, etc. However, the Diversity Job Fair is not intended to exclude anyone. You define your own diversity.

Spring Job Fair

The Spring Job Fair is our final campus-wide job fair (all majors) of the school year. This event's primary focus is on graduating seniors seeking full-time employment.

Just call 865-974-5435. Resume critiques and mock interviews are available by appointment at Career Services year-round.

HIRE-A-VOL still shows 139 posted jobs that students can apply for by submitting their resume or following the instructions to apply. Don’t forget to also use the NACELink and the EmployOn links under the “JOB” tab to broaden your search capabilities.

Congratulations on your upcoming December or May graduation! We wish you much success in the future.

If you are a December 2009 graduate, please take a moment to login to your HIRE-A-VOL account and complete the Graduate Placement Survey. We are looking for information about your post-graduation plans. This information allows Career Services to release accurate statistics concerning average starting salaries and more. The information remains confidential, and any released information does not directly link to your name. If you are a May 2010 graduate who has already accepted an offer, you can also complete the Graduate Placement Survey with your information as soon as you have officially determined your employment upon graduation.

EF 301 - Career Services for Engineers


smokey dawgPlanning your class schedule for Spring 2010? Don't forget to register for EF 301 - Engineering Career Planning! This class is offered each Spring and Fall semester and is held on Mondays from 1:25 - 2:15 p.m. in Career Services, 100 Dunford Hall. This class is a perfect fit for all sophomores, juniors and seniors and will equip students with the right tools to land that great job.

The class is offered on a 1-hour, Satisfactory/No Credit basis. Leslie Fox, Career Services Consultant for the College of Engineering, teaches the course. Expect visits from company reps, tips and tricks from HR recruiters, advice on resumes, cover letters, interviewing and salary negotiation and learn the ways you can stand out and get noticed at job fairs.
