Course Description and Goals:

Radiation Protection is a senior level course intended to prepare students for entry level positions in health physics, radiological engineering, radiological assessment or radiation safety. This course presents students an introduction to interactions of ionizing radiation with matter, internal and external radiation dosimetry, radiation detection and biological effects of ionizing radiation.

Prerequisites: Senior standing, NE301
