The department encourages all UTNE students and alumni who seek either part-time (e.g., a summer internship) or full time employment to register with UT Career Services at http://career.utk.edu/. Students registering with Career Services should submit a draft of their resume to Career Services as a first step in the registration process. An example student resume is located at Typical Student Resume. Students interested in the Co-op Program or summer internships should register with the Office of Professional Practice. Also, several internship opportunities are listed at http://www.ans.org/honors/internships/
The department also maintains an electronic bulletin board of job postings for the benefit of employers who seek direct contact with job-seeking nuclear engineering students and alumni. Job postings should be sent utne@utk.edu, which will then be posted on our electronic bulletin board at NE Job Postings and also on our in-house bulletin board on the second floor of the Pasqua Engineering Building.
