Nicholas Kazanas was appointed to this position on March 24, 1994 and is responsible for the preservation and maintenance of this $4.5 billion investment.
Nick was
the lead for TVA's Commercial Light Water Reactor Tritium Proposal effort.
Although TVA's real interest of utilizing the Bellefonte facility for
tritium production did not come to fruition, Mr. Kazanas was involved in the
successful efforts to secure the tritium production contract with the
Department of Energy.
Mr. Kazanas holds a bachelors degree in Metallurgical
Engineering from Lafayette College and a Masters Degree in Business from the
University of Hartford. He was an assistant adjunct professor in Statistics
and Operations Analysis at Quinnipac College. He has also been a member of
ASQC since 1978 and has served as past chairman of the Energy and
Environmental Division of ASQC..
