BIO: Ann Winters has managed the National Academy for Nuclear Training's Educational Assistance Program since 1990. The program is designed to support nuclear engineering education throughout the U.S. and to encourage students to consider careers in the nuclear power industry. Since the program's inception in 1980, the nuclear power industry has provided more than $19 million to support some 3,400 students.

Ms. Winters is responsible for all aspects of this industry program, including measurement and selection criteria for university and student participants, interactions with universities, utilities, students and others, $1 million-plus annual budget, extensive communications efforts, and annual analyses of program results against goals.

Ms. Winters is a member of the American Nuclear Society (ANS), the Executive Committee of the ANS Education & Training Division, the American Society for Training & Development, Psy Chi National Honor Society, and several boards and committees of community service organizations. She holds a degree in psychology from Georgia State University. As training project manager, Ms. Winters designs, develops and implements selected training courses for Institute employees.
