Study Abroad Fellowship Opportunity for Engineering Students!
The College of Engineering is pleased to announce a fellowship program for engineering students who are interested in Study Abroad. On a competitive basis, $2000. Fellowships will be awarded to assist with travel and related expenses during semester-long Study Abroad terms. Lesser amounts are available for summer term programs.
An application for the COE Study Abroad Fellowships will consist of:
- A copy of all application materials submitted for the student’s study abroad program.
- A cover letter describing the student’s expectations for the program and how the student fits the preferences described below.
Preference will be given to students undertaking engineering coursework or research experience (for which UT engineering credit will be granted) during their study abroad. Intensive language experiences will be next preference, followed by all other Study Abroad programs. A 3.25 minimum GPA is preferred, but others may apply. Need will be considered if addressed in the cover letter by the applicant.
Deadline for applications (submitted to the COE Outreach Office, 103 Estabrook Hall) coincides with the application deadline for the student’s study abroad program. Normally these dates are October 1 for Spring semester programs, February 2 for Summer Programs, and March 2 for the following Fall semester.
