Summer study abroad programs sponsored by member schools of the Global Engineering Education Exchange (GE3) are now available here.
Call for Volunteers! FIRST Robotics (http://www.usfirst.org/) is holding its first-ever-in-Tennessee regional robotics competition at the Knoxville Convention Center from March 30 - April 2, 2011. This prestigious high school competition has 50 teams signed up and will have 1,500 participants. Competitors are coming from all over the Southeast. Local high schools competing are Farragut, Hardin Valley, Webb, Seymour, and Knoxville Catholic. Click here for more details and access to the Volunteer registration site.
In May, 2011, Semester at Sea is offering a special short term voyage with the theme “Engineering a New Tomorrow: An Interdisciplinary voyage with a curriculum based on the UN Millennium Development Goals”.
This looks to be a very exciting experience featuring a choice of courses centered on problems of developing nations. The voyage visits 7 Central American and Carribean destinations on a 26 day itinerary...read more
