Melcher Wins IEEE Award
Dr. Chuck Melcher, Director of the Scintillation Materials Research Center (SMRC) at the University of Tennessee, was recently recognized by the Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) with a Merit Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of scintillation materials. His prize included $2,000, a plaque and certificate.
