1990sMichael D. Rowen, P.E. (BS/ME '91) has been named Manager of the Process Design Department at the Nashville office of Barge, Waggoner, Sumner & Cannon (BWSC). Rowen has been associated with BWSC since 1997, and is responsible for process design project operations and provides planning, design and management of various industrial process and energy plant projects. BWSC is an employee-owned engineering, architecture, planning, landscape architecture and surveying firm with offices in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Ohio. Founded in 1955, BWSC is among the largest engineering and design firms in the U.S., employing almost 500 people. Jason J. Yorks (BS/EE '92) is a project engineer with CIELO company in Longmont, Colo. Michael MacIndoe (MS/EnvE '93) has been promoted to the position of Vice-President at the engineering and planning firm Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon. He has worked with BWSC for nine years. MacIndoe is responsible for environmental engineering project operations in the firm's Knoxville office, providing design and support services for water and wastewater-related projects. David McAlister (BS/CE '93, MS/CE '94),U.S. Navy Officer in Charge of Construction Battalion Unit Four Zero Two, has recently been promoted to Lieutenant. He resides in Key West, Fla. Rudolph N. Escher, Jr. (MS/IE '95) is the Technical Manager for the Oak Ridge Metrology Center. He has been with the center since 1997. The Metrology Center is scheduled to receive the "Hammer Award," which is presented by the Vice-President of the United States. The recognition is for pioneering work in the field and also for aiding industry and government by providing grid plate calibration for U.S. manufacturers to precision levels. Ramon E. Gonzalez (BS/ME '95) was recently appointed a project engineer with Rosemount, Inc. in Minneapolis, Minn. He is responsible for the manufacturing of all of the company's temperature sensors and transmitters. Keith A. O'Hara (BS/ME '95) recently was named an officer at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago, Ill. He serves in the Securities Lending Division of the Investment Services Group. He joined The Northern Trust in 1998. O'Hara lives in Rolling Meadows, Ill. Ensign Chris R. Threlkeld (BS/MSE '97) recently received his commission as a naval officer after completing the 13-week training program with the Officer Candidate School at Naval Aviation Schools Command, Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla. John McInturff (BS/ME '99) is employed by the Hoshizaki company as a test engineer. He currently resides in Newnan, Ga. Return to Alumni News main page |
