COE Homecoming 1999

College of Engineering alumni, faculty, staff and guests enjoyed beautiful weather, food and fun during the 1999 University of Tennessee Homecoming festivities.

The Friday evening dinner cruise on the Star of Knoxville Riverboat was a wonderful way to start the weekend.

Debra and Melissa Chambers came all the way from Torrance, Calif. for Homecoming. They were guests of Howard Chambers (BS/ME '64).

 

Vols for a day...COE guests Dr. Richard Warder, Dean of the Herff School of Engineering at the University of Memphis, and his wife, Diane, were surprised by their "all orange" nametags at the Riverboat event. UT beat Memphis17-16 at the Homecoming game on Saturday.

 

Over 300 alumni and guests enjoyed the annual COE picnic at the Science and Engineering Research Facility on Saturday afternoon.

Sunshine and comfortable temperatures made outdoor dining a pleasure at the COE picnic on Saturday.
