Who can join NSBE?
NSBE has open membership; anyone who supports our mission is eligible for membership. There are several membership categories to suit individual needs: NSBE Jr., Collegiate, Alumni, Affiliate.



How is the organization structured?
NSBE is a student-managed organization with a professional headquarters staff that implements the board’s vision. There is also a National Advisory Board of academia and industry professionals that lend direction to the student board.



As a member, how can I become more involved?
Community outreach is an important aspect of NSBE. Local involvement is encouraged through your chapters. If you do not have an affiliation with a chapter, contact your chapter to find out what you can do to further the NSBE mission.



Does NSBE have membership outside of the US?
NSBE has members in Africa, Canada, Jamaica, South America, Mexico and Asia. For more information on our international chapters, visit our site at www.nsbe.org/international.



Does NSBE have offerings for high school students?
The Pre-College Initiative (PCI) Program is designed for junior high and high school students to promote science, math, engineering and technology. PCI encourages academic excellence and parental involvement. Also offered is NSBE Jr., a membership category of NSBE.

What is NSBE doing to combat the effects of the digital divide?
NSBE’s Technical OutReach Community Help (T.O.R.C.H.) Program is our national, multi-year initiative to address the digital divide. The goal of the Program is to increase the number of currently under-served communities who have access, technical assistance and skills, to receive value from digital technology.
