Service Projects

Tennessee Science Bowl

March 2nd and 3rd, 2012

The Tennessee Science Bowl is a math and science competition between teams of high school students from across the state of Tennessee. Volunteers are still needed to be runner, judge, timekeeper, etc. Please note, it does require an early commitment however. Log onto their website for volunteer information. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Eric Collins, the service chair.

Bent Shining

Spring 2012 Date TBA

You probably have seen the Bent sculptures in front of Dougherty and behind SERF.  Each semester, our TBP chapter spends a couple of hours polishing those up.  Not only does it make our campus look better, it's a opportunity to welcome the newly selected initiates to our chapter.  Meet in front of Dougherty for this project.  Polish and materials will be provided; just come ready to work!

Engineering Campus Beautification

Spring 2012 Date TBA

Each semester, TBP spends an afternoon giving back to our college by cleaning up the lawn around Estabrook and behind SERF.  Let's have the campus looking nice for Engineer's Day. We'll pick up trash and such, but we don't do any difficult landscaping work, so come out and enjoy the fall afternoon while doing something that makes our campus better.  Meet in front of Estabrook, trash bags and gloves will be provided.
